New Delhi: Even as the nation reels under the continuous novel Covid pandemic, the southern province of Kerala has detailed a few instances of Zika infection. On Thursday, state Health Minister Veena George educated that around 13 cases regarding Zika infection have been distinguished in the state even as the COVID-19 emergency keeps on seething.
"This is the first occasion when that Zika infection has been accounted for in Kerala... a 24-year-old pregnant lady revealed at an emergency clinic in the state capital area with fever, cerebral pain, and rashes last month," she was cited as saying to IANS.
"From 19 examples tried, 13 showed Zika positive, however, we have questions about the 13 positive cases. Every one of the examples has now been shipped off NIV Pune," she said.
"The Health Department and the area specialists know about the issue and have taken measures by gathering tests of the Aedes species mosquitoes, which sends it to individuals through its chomp," George added.
All locale have been however on ready and sufficient measures have been taken.
Prominently, In India, the principal neighborhood episode of the Zika infection was accounted for in Ahmedabad in January 2017 and the second in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri locale in July 2017.
