PSPCL moves up to a rank 10 in the consumer service rating.
PSPCL has demonstrated progress in the Government of India's performance ranking of distribution firms (discoms).
According to the Government of India's performance ranking of distribution corporations (discoms), Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has improved.
According to a PSPCL spokesperson, PSPCL's overall all-India ranking among the 41 discoms in the general category improved significantly from 47th with a C+ grade and 62 marks last year to 10th with a B+ grade and 84 marks this year in the consumer service rating of discoms conducted by the Central government agencies for the financial year 2021–22.
26 pre-identified sub-parameters were examined separately in the appropriate areas for each of the four key parameters, which were operational reliability, connections and other services, metering, billing, and collections, and fault rectification and grievance settlement.
The spokesperson stated that according to the 11th annual ranking report for the fiscal year 2021–2022, PSPCL raised its rating from B to A last year. 51 utilities that distribute power were included in the exercise.
